COLUMBIA – Phenom Hoop Report is set to host the 2nd Annual Phenom’s Capital City Classic on December 15 at Ben Lippen School (7401 Monticello Rd, Columbia, SC 29203). This showcase will feature eight of the top teams from North and South Carolina, with some of the best talent from around the country. Tickets will be sold on site, the day of the event until the quantity sells out.

The field of teams will be led by nationally Legacy Early College of Greenville, South Carolina. Legacy is ranked as the nation’s number 37 team by nationally esteemed Prep Circuit to start off the 2018-19 campaign.

Set to kick off this event will be a high light reel matchup as Mikey Dukes of First Baptist in Charleston will face off with Marlow Gilmore of Hunter Kinard Tyler. These are two of the most explosively athletic players in the region and are sure to have numerous plays that will bring the crowd to their feet.

The 2nd Annual Phenom’s Capital City Classic will feature elite high school players who are committed to attend the likes of Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida State, Winthrop, and Jacksonville State.

Phenom’s National High School Showcase presented by Chatlee Boats is set to feature many of the nation’s top prospects. There will be 20 players participating who have committed to Division 1 programs, including the likes of South Carolina, Alabama, Louisville, Ole Miss, Providence, Virginia, Mississippi State and more.

There will also be four players who are ranked among the nation’s Top 150 prospects in their respective classes. These include Juwan Gary (Liberty Heights) and 2022 Jalen Hood Schifino (Northside Christian) who have each participated in their age groups with Team USA.

2017 saw this event reach close to capacity. With a field of teams that has more talent (with more exciting plays), we expect fans to line the stands as they watch this exciting competition. College coaches and nationally read media alike filed into the arena so they could put eyes on the unbelievable talent in the gym. The depth of talent coming to Columbia, South Carolina will be unmatched on December 15.
