Ben Lippen senior, Brad Lehman, will be attending Hillsdale College in Michigan this fall and competing for the College shotgun team in skeet, trap and sporting clays. Hillsdale competes against the best teams from across the country and has won four national championships in the last five years.
In high school, Brad’s squad has consistently won state and regional competitions. Individually Brad has been recognized on multiple times as the Highest Overall or Individual Champion. This past year alone, he has been recognized as the top senior shooter in three different youth State Championships. In addition, he was the top Junior shooter in the South Carolina Adult Championship this year.
It is not surprising that Brad has earned spots on a number of All-State and All-American teams. In 2018 he was a member of the NSCA All-State team, as well as the 4H All-State team and the South Carolina Youth Shooting Foundation All-State team. He was also a member of the 2018 and 2019 Governor’s Cup All-State teams. Last summer he represented the state of South Carolina in the National 4-H Skeet Competition, where his team won third place. He has also been a member of the 2018 and 2019 All-American 20 gauge teams.
Brad was invited to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado for the 2017 Junior Olympic Development program and has been recognized by the NRA As a Distinguished Expert in sporting clays and skeet.
Brad has also been the Highest Overall Champion of the last four Cedar Creek Classics benefiting Ben Lippen School.
In addition to his shooting, Brad has been a member of the Scholastic Clay Target All-American Academic Team for the last four years.Brad has been awarded $35,000 in college shooting scholarships in addition to his academic awards. He thanks Coach Steve Bolt and all of his coaches and teammates and looks forward to beginning his college athletic career at Hillsdale College.
