Boys Varsity Baseball · Falcons Win 6-5 In the Bottom of the 8th Inning to Force a Game 3

Ben Lippen Falcons Varsity took Tuesday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 6-5 walk-off victory over Laurence Manning Academy. The game was tied at five with Ben Lippen Falcons Varsity batting in the bottom of the eighth when Zack Sutton singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.  The Falcons with the win force a game 3 in the best of 3 SCISA Baseball Semi-Finals series that will be played at 7 PM, Thursday at Laurence Manning Academy.

Ben Lippen Falcons Varsity got on the board in the second inning when Tripp Williams hit a solo homer.

Ben Lippen Falcons Varsity put up three runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a triple by Williams and a single by Alden Gibbs.

RJ Samellas led the Ben Lippen Falcons Varsity to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He went three and a third innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out one.

Aaron Carlton took the loss for Laurence Manning Academy. He allowed two hits and two runs, walking zero.
Buddy Gales started the game for Laurence Manning Academy. He surrendered two runs on two hits over five innings, striking out two and walking one Sutton started the game for Ben Lippen Falcons Varsity. He surrendered two runs on four hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three
