The Ben Lippen baseball team had everything working on Monday, winning big over Hammond 12-2

The Falcons got on the board in the first inning. Will Taylor drove in one when he doubled.
The Falcons scored four runs in the fourth inning. RJ Samellas, Tripp Williams, and Alden Gibbs each had RBIs in the big inning.

Zack Sutton led the Ben Lippen Falcons Varsity to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over three innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Steven Morrison took the loss for Hammond. He lasted three innings, allowing five hits and ten runs while striking out two.

Eli Johnson started the game for Ben Lippen. He surrendered two runs on three hits over two innings, striking out two

Ben Lippen Falcons tallied seven hits on the day. Taylor, Grant McElveen, and Williams each collected multiple hits for Ben Lippen. Williams, McElveen, and Taylor each collected two hits to lead the Falcons.

Game 2 of the best of 3 series will be 7 pm, Tuesday, May 14 at the Hammond School.  Go Falcons!
