2021 WIN Summer Sports Camps

Ben Lippen’s WIN Summer Sports Camps are back and better than ever!!!
We have created several weekly fun-filled camps where kids are able to pursue their passions and fuel their athletic potential. 
Our camps provide athletes with a safe, Christ-centered environment where campers of all skill levels will be taught the fundamentals of the game, along with the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
We have a great lineup of Sports Camps this summer!

Plan your summer with these weekly sessions:

 BOYS BASKETBALL

Date:  June 7-10 
Age: Morning session will be for boys in rising 1st- 4th grades
         Afternoon session will be for boys in rising 5th-8th grades
Time:  1st-4th grade     9:00 am-12:00 pm
            5th-8th grade   1:00 pm-4:00 pm
Drop Off & Pick Up Time: Pick up and drop off at the gym within  15-20 minutes of camp time
Cost:  $100 (includes camp basketball and a camp t-shirt if registration is received 10 days prior to the start of camp)

What do campers need to wear? Should come dressed to play basketball
Required items: tennis shoes, athletic shirt & shorts, water bottle

– Coach Kevin Carr: Coach Carr is the head coach at Ben Lippen and has over 10 years of experience at the college level as a player and coach.
– Varsity players will also be giving instruction

 

  BASEBALL

Date:  June 14-17 
Age: Rising 1st- 8th grades
Time:  9:00 am-12:00 pm
Drop Off & Pick Up Time: Pick up and drop off at the baseball field within  15-20 minutes of camp time
Cost:  $100 (includes camp t-shirt if registration is received 10 days prior to the start of camp)

What do campers need to wear? athletic shirt, baseball pants
Required items: tennis shoes and cleats, hat, glove, bat, sunscreen (if necessary), and water bottle

– Coach Brian Larsen: Coach Larsen is the head coach at Ben Lippen and has over 20 years of experience at the varsity level. He played for 2 years at Broward Community College and 2 years at Division II powerhouse, Lincoln Memorial University.
– Varsity players will also be giving instruction

 

 VOLLEYBALL

Date:  June 14-17
Age: 1st-8th grade
Time:  9:00 am-12:00 pm
Drop Off & Pick Up Time: Pick up and drop off at the gym within  15-20 minutes of camp time
Cost:  $100 (includes camp t-shirt if registration is received 10 days prior to the start of camp)

What do campers need to wear?  t-shirt, shorts/spandex, tennis shoes

 TRACK  & XC

Date:  June 21-24
Age:  Rising 2nd-8th grade
Time:  8:00 am-12:00 pm
Drop Off & Pick Up Time: 7:45 am drop-off, 12-12:30 pm pick up
Cost:  $100 (includes track camp t-shirt {if registration is received 10 days prior to the start of camp}, snack (nut-free), water, Gatorade)

What do campers need to wear?  shorts, lightweight t-shirt (with a jacket or shirt on top if needed)
Required items: water bottle, running shoes, sunblock

Staff information:
– The Ben Lippen Track Team is running the camp. Come meet some All-State Track stars and their coaches. Some National level collegiate athletes will be helping as well.
– Head Coach Eric Hamner: 8 years of Collegiate Coaching experience, 7 years of high school coaching experience, extensive education in Health and Exercise science and sports management, coached 5 Collegiate National Qualifying teams, 11 All-Americans, 46 National qualifiers, 7 State Qualifying teams    (1 State Championship), 46 state qualifiers, and over a dozen All-State athletes.

 

 GIRLS BASKETBALL

Date:  June 21-24 
Age: Rising 1st- 8th grades
Time:   9:00 am-12:00 pm
Drop Off & Pick Up Time: Pick up and drop off at the gym within  15-20 minutes of camp time
Cost:  $100 (includes camp basketball and a camp t-shirt if registration is received 10 days prior to the start of camp)

What do campers need to wear? Should come dressed to play basketball
Required items: tennis shoes, athletic shirt & shorts, water bottle

Staff information:
– Coach David Long: Coach Long has been coaching high school basketball for 20 years. Coach Long was Region Coach of the Year four times, selected as a North Team All-Star Coach in 2008, and left Lexington High in 2012 as the winningest Girls Basketball Coach in school history with 156 wins to 84 losses.  Since 2012, Coach Long has coached two years at Wando High School in Mt Pleasant, SC and most recently led the Girls Basketball program at Northside Christian Academy.

 

 SOFTBALL

Date:  June 28-July 1 
Age: Rising 1st- 8th grades
Time:  9:00 am-12:00 pm
Drop Off & Pick Up Time: Pick up and drop off at the softball field within  15-20 minutes of camp time
Cost:  $100 (includes camp t-shirt if registration is received 10 days prior to the start of camp)

What do campers need to wear? athletic shirt, softball pants
Required items: tennis shoes or cleats, hat, glove, bat, sunscreen (if necessary), and water bottle

Staff information:
– Coach Bryan Jones: Coach Jones is the Varsity Head Coach for the Ben Lippen Falcons Softball Team. He grew up playing baseball and rose through the ranks from tee-ball to high school and American Legion ball to college as a catcher. He is a graduate of Wofford College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He has coached through Irmo Little League for the past 6 years and has helped lead their All-Star Softball Teams to a couple of state titles. He has managed a now 14U tournament softball team for the past 4 years. He served as an Assistant Coach and then Head Coach with the Ben Lippen Middle School Baseball Team for 3 years before moving to the softball program. He served as the Junior Varsity Softball Head Coach for 2 years and is in his first year with the Varsity team.

 

 WRESTLING

Date:  June 28-July 1 
Age: Rising 1st- 8th grades
Time:  9:00 am-12:00 pm

 FOOTBALL

Date:  July 12-15
Age:  Rising 1st- 8th grades
Time:  9:00 am-12:00 pm
Drop Off & Pick Up Time: Pick up and drop off at the football stadium within  15-20 minutes of camp time
Cost:  $100 (includes camp t-shirt if registration is received 10 days prior to the start of camp)

What do campers need to wear? shorts, t-shirts, and a hat if needed 
Required items: cleats, sunscreen (if necessary), and a water bottle

Staff information: 
– Coach Stephen Cagle: Coach Cagle played for 5 years for the Charleston Southern Buccaneers under Coach Jamey Chadwell (current head coach at Coastal Carolina). Coach Cagle was a quarterback for the Bucs before being moved to tight end to finish his career. Coach Cagle will be entering his first season with the Falcons after spending 4 years at White Knoll as the Quarterbacks, Offensive Coordinator, and Assistant Head Coach
– Varsity Coaching Staff and players will also be giving instruction

 

 SOCCER

Date:  June 19-22 
Age:  Rising 1st- 8th grades
Time:  9:00 am-12:00 pm
Drop Off & Pick Up Time:
1st – 4th Grade: Pick up and drop off at the Ben Lippen soccer field within  15-20 minutes of camp time
5th – 8th Grade: Pick up and drop off at the CIU soccer field within  15-20 minutes of camp time
Cost:  $100 (includes camp basketball and a camp t-shirt if registration is received 10 days prior to the start of camp)

What do campers need to wear? athletic shirt and shorts
Required items: cleats, sunscreen (if necessary), and water bottle

Staff information:
– Asher Quave-Robinson: Coach Asher attended Pfeiffer University and played all four years for the Falcons while earning his bachelor’s in education and minor in coaching. Asher played at the PDL and NPSL levels prior to reaching the professional level. Asher experienced the USL, CSL  and Germany’s Regionaliga. After playing, he started his coaching career at Millsaps College for both the men’s and women’s soccer programs. He has been responsible for helping hundreds of players get placed at the college level, has worked with 16 collegiate All-Americans, paved the way for numerous professional contracts for players including one MLS super draft pick. Asher is currently the head coach of Columbia’s Semi-professional team Soda City FC and men’s assistant and recruiting coordinator at Columbia International University, where in 2018 he assisted in the Ram’s reaching their first national tournament berth.

 CHEER

Date: July 26-29
Age: K4-8th grades
Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Drop Off & Pick Up Time: Drop off and pick up main gym entrance 8:30 am and 12:00 pm respectively
Cost:  $100 (includes water & snack each day, camp t-shirt if registration is received 10 days prior to the start of camp)

What do campers need to wear?  shorts, t-shirt, sneakers
Required items: water bottle, hair should be worn up and/or away from your face
